I am a Brazilian photographer currently based in São Paulo. After finishing Photography School in SP, I moved to California where I had the chance to work as a free lancer photographer ( and swim daily in the ocean) for several years. I now work as a photo facilitator teaching photography to female teenagers at risk for the project "Ciranda de Olhares".
I often catch myself wandering around the city, diving into its dynamic, watching people and things. I like the anticipation of a latent photo - the glimpse of time when you decide whether what you are seeing will last as a photo or a memory.
Photography has taught me to be more patient and aware of the other. It is a continuous exercise of stepping out of my universe, that ultimately leads me to a deeper understanding of myself.
